About Berlin//Contemporary

The photos in this series are the result of the past couple years I've spent in Berlin. Some have appeared on the blog roll before and others are ones I've had squirreled away. I have a lot more in the form of undeveloped film. I hope they evoke the feel of the city - kind of dirty and complicated by its past and present history, but trying to reinvent itself by creating galleries and milking its reputation as a creative design city. Berlin is more than 'Poor but Sexy,' as Mayor Klaus Wowereit put it. In a way we're all trying to make sense of it, and of our selves.
